“What I Want My Children To Remember About Our Home?”

1. That their father and mother loved each other.
2. That our home was a happy one because we all worked to keep it that way.
3. That each child was loved and respected.
4. That the books in the house were wholesome, and none were under lock and key because of questionable contents.
5. That absolute truth abode there; Integrity and honesty were the rules we lived by.
6. That we practiced hospitality, and that our friends loved to visit us.
7. That Sunday was the happiest day of the week, one which we all looked forward to because it was the day when we went to church together.
8. That although Father and Mother worked hard and long at their respective jobs, they found time every day to read the Bible, to have fun with their children, and to play.
