Introduction: Paul said, “whom we preach (Christ), warning every man, and teachingevery man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Je-sus” (Colossians 1:28). When we look carefully at the warnings of Christ our souls and living the Christian life become of the utmost importance. Let’s look at some of His warnings.
- The warning of not obeying His gospel (John 8:24; Luke 13:3,5; Matthew 10:32,33;Mark 16:15,16).
- The warning of being a wicked and slothful servant (Matthew 25:26,30).
- The warning of making excuses (Luke 14:16-24).
- The warning of false teachers (Matthew 7:15; 24:4).
- The warning of hate (Matthew 5:43-45).
- The warning of lust (Matthew 5:27,28).
- The warning of divorce (Matthew 5:31,32; Matthew 19:6-9).
- The warning of not searching the scriptures (John 5:39).
- The warning of leaving Him (John 6:66-68).
- The warning of hell (Mark 9:43-48).
- The warning of insincerity (Matthew 6:1-6; Matthew 23).
- The warning of fault finding (Matthew 7:1-5).
- The warning of being religiously wrong (Matthew 7:21-23).
- The warning of covetousness (Luke 12:15-21).
- The warning of your words (Matthew 12:37).
- The warning of delay in taking care of your soul’s salvation (Matthew 24:42-44; Mark 8:36,37).
- The warning of riotous living (Luke 15:11-17).
- The warning of unthankfulness (Luke 17:11-19).
- The warning of arrogancy (Luke 18:9-14).
- The warning of division (John 17:20,21).
Conclusion: These warnings of Christ should get our attention. Yes, every man must be warned, and I hope we are listening.
