Paul said, “This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that
Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief” (I Timothy 1:15).
What a marvelous statement! Jesus came to save sinners. Notice that Paul
described himself as the chiefest of sinners. The reason was because of what he
had done to the church before his conversion. Sometimes people have the idea that
they are so bad that God cannot forgive them. Paul said that Jesus came to save sinners,
all sinners and that includes the chiefest of sinners like himself. God wants to save you.
The New Testament teaches that you must believe (Hebrews 11:6), repent (Acts 17:30),
confess Christ as the Son of God (Acts 8:37), and be baptized for the remission of sins
(Acts 2:38) in order to become a Christian. God will save you just like he saved Paul.
Why not come to Him and find rest for your soul?
